In November, the Royal Society of Biology welcomed a new Member Organisation (MO), Immerse Education.

Immerse Education

Immerse Education was founded in 2012 with the aim of providing students aged 13-18 with unparalleled educational experiences.

Students from across the globe attend its programmes which are held in inspiring locations across the UK, making them not only academically challenging but also culturally enriching.

To date, Immerse Education has delivered over 2,500 academic programmes, directed by tutors from world-leading universities to students of more than 125 nationalities.

Ben Chwistek, partnerships and accreditations manager at Immerse Education, said: “We are extremely excited to be partnering with RSB as an Affiliated Member Organisation. Our biology students will benefit from becoming members of the RSB and having access to the RSB's amazing resources. Through our partnership we hope to support all Immerse biology students in their continuing journeys into university and their future careers in biology.”

Dr Mark Downs CBiol CSci FRSB, chief executive of RSB, welcomed Immerse Education, stating: “We are so pleased to have Immerse Education on board with us at RSB. It is great to have a fantastic organisation that inspires the next generation of biologists, whether their careers lead them to become researchers, technicians or teachers. The dedication and passion Immerse Education has to provide participants with exceptional learning experiences is an aspect of education that RSB clearly recognises. We look forward to helping develop coordination and communication with and between Immerse Education, their stakeholders and other MOs.”
